About Ruby Ariff

My life had been very active; it was full and rewarding, and included successfully bringing up five children and working as a tutor / social worker. However, when the pain slowly took control over me, I withdrew from family, friends and life commitments and I found myself unable to cope.

The wonderful professionals at Input, who in the four weeks of my stay there taught me to re-live my life again, helped me to understand and manage my pain.

The positive outlook on life I learnt there helped me to develop my interests in flowers and I have since completed two City & Guilds courses on floral design and a diploma in Ikebana.

In 2009, I will start a postgraduate course in floral design and enterprise at the University of Arts, London.
It was important for me to join the steering group as I wanted to help start the support service and also to be part of something great, which will benefit people like us for years to come.
